Kubla Khan

The 58-foot-high Kubla Khan dominates the Throne Room. Arizona's largest cave column was formed when a massive stalactite growing down from the ceiling joined with a stalgmite ascending from the floor. Cave discoverers Gary Tenen and Randy Tufts gave Kubla Khan its fanciful name from the poem "Kubla Khan" by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
