Now you can donate your personal property to Eight/KAET and let it do good for your community. It's a hassle-free way to support Eight.
Donate your furniture, artwork, collections, appliances, jewelry…any items of value you want to give to support EIGHT.
Just call toll-free 1-888-988-KAET (5238) to make arrangements for your Eight Personal Property Donation. A representative will be available Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The representative will schedule a pickup that's convenient for you and will provide you with a gift in kind form for you to list your items for donation.
After the auction, Eight will mail you a confirmation that states how much money your personal property garnered at auction. This is the amount of your charity contribution to Eight/KAET.
According to the new tax laws in effect in 2005, this is all you need to claim a charitable contribution to Eight (unless you are claiming less than $500 for your donation, in which case no receipt is required by the IRS).
With your donation, you automatically become a Friend of Eight, with all its privileges and benefits.
First, you will receive a one-year subscription to the Eight Magazine, our monthly program guide — to keep you up to date with the exceptional programming your contribution supports. You will have immediate access to Passport, with discounts and special offers on things you buy every day, and ShopAZPBS, an online shopping opportunity to purchase classic keepsakes from your favorite PBS shows.
If your donation exceeds $150, you will also receive the Eight Gold Passport MemberCard with dining and entertainment discounts across Arizona. Your donation of $500-$999 entitles you to invitations to receptions, previews and special events as a member of Eight's Studio Club. With a donation totaling $1,000 or more, you become a member of Signal Society with "By Invitation Only" events featuring PBS personalities and behind-the-scenes opportunities at Eight productions.
If you are already a member you will receive an additional one-year subscription to the Eight Magazine.

Does my personal property have to be in good shape? Eight is working with an auction company to convert your personal property into a cash donation. To that end, we need items that are in decent shape that would still have value for someone to bid on them. Items that cannot be auctioned would just cost us money to dispose of, so we ask that you do not donate them. Contact a representative at 1-888-988-KAET (5238) find out if your donation qualifies for pick-up.

How long will it take to pick up my donation?
We make donating your personal property as simple and convenient as possible. The representative will schedule a time for pick-up that is convenient to you. Contact a representative at 1-888-988-KAET (5238).
Do I have to be home at the time of pick-up?
Yes, we will probably need to get into your house to collect the donation. If it is easier for you, donations can also be dropped off at Auction Systems, 951 West Watkins Street, Phoenix, Arizona, 85007.
What paperwork do I need?
We will provide you with a Gift in Kind donation form.
Will I get a tax receipt for my donation?
Yes, our driver will issue a receipt that lists your items at the time of pick-up. This is not your final tax receipt. Eight will then provide you with a receipt after the auction listing the amount your items sold for. This will be your tax receipt for your charitable contribution.
How is the value determined on the personal property donated?
The value is determined by the gross proceeds raised from the sale of the personal property. You no longer have the burden of determining the value yourself.
