Dr. Firestone

Dr. Ted Firestone
The Joint Replacement Center of Scottsdale

Dr. Ted Firestone is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in anterior total hip replacements and minimally-invasive knee replacements. He is currently the Medical Director of the Total Joint Replacement program at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea.

Dr. Firestone moved to the Valley in 1990 after completing his fellowship in joint replacement surgery at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and established The Joint Replacement Center of Scottsdale in September 2006.

As a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, he has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Arthroplasty since 1990. Dr. Firestone has presented original research at national meetings and is published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, the foremost publication of orthopedic surgery worldwide. Additionally, he has been listed in Phoenix Magazine's annual TOP DOCTORS issue on many occasions, including 2012.

 

Chris WooleyChris Wooley
VAS Communications
Chris Wooley is a 25-year veteran of healthcare-related documentary and educational television programs. Among his works are In the Heart of China and A Woman's Heart with Joanne Woodward, which aired on PBS, Medical Innovations with Cliff Robertson, which aired on the Discovery Channel, and Let's Face the Fats airing on CNBC. One of Wooley's first jobs was as a production intern with VAS Communications, the group that co-produced The Operation with Eight, Arizona PBS in the early 1980s. His professional work has won him numerous broadcasting awards including gold medals at the New York and Chicago Film Festivals.

 

Wayne DickmannWayne Dickmann
Even Keel Productions, Inc.
Wayne Dickmann is an award-winning filmmaker specializing in healthcare-related films. He also produced a local travel series for Eight, Arizona PBS entitled Arizona State of Mind in 2008 and was named Arizona Filmmaker of the Year for his feature film The Sum of One in 2002. Dickmann worked for VAS Communications from 1995 to 2003 where he produced numerous educational, documentary and short films. Those films obtained him several awards including first place in the US International Film Festival for his short film The Silence. Dickmann graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1994.

 

Jim CissellJim Cissell
Talent and Host
Jim Cissell has voiced, written and produced over 10,000 commercials, TV shows, films and videos. His work includes movie trailers for Disney, infomercials for Johnny Carson and Sonny & Cher, and a long list of national commercials for companies like Dairy Queen, California Avocados and PETsMART. His list of accomplishments has obtained him several major awards – CLIO’s, Addy’s, Telly’s, EFFY’s, Golden CINE, Peabody’s, Hugo’s and the Mercury’s. Additionally, his voice-overs and on-camera work have been featured on Oprah, The World’s Funniest, and Now A Word from Our Sponsor – as well as in the White House.
