EIGHT, ARIZONA PBS PRESENTS EXCLUSIVE WEB SERIES IN SPACE AND TIME WITH DR. LAWRENCE KRAUSS – PREMIERING JUNE 19 at 6 PM
Eight launches Google Plus Hangouts with Arizona State University physicist, examining world of physical science and cosmologyPHOENIX -- (June 9, 2014) Eight, Arizona PBS offers viewers the unique opportunity to gain deeper insights into the inner workings of our universe, exploring everything from the latest technological advancements and scientific discoveries to questions on the minds of many science enthusiasts, including whether invisibility cloaks could really work, and whether it’s ethical for humans to seed our DNA onto other planets, during its new Web series In Space and Time with Dr. Lawrence Krauss, debuting June 19 at 6 p.m., on Google Plus (http://plus.google.com/+AZPBS).
“I am looking forward to interacting directly with Eight’s viewers,” says Dr. Lawrence Krauss internationally recognized theoretical physicist, “to find out what they are interested in, and what they may find confusing. And of course I am looking forward to learning things together.”
Eight welcomes viewers to join Krauss for a special Eight, Arizona PBS Google Plus Hangout-On-Air, where they can ask the Arizona State University professor, New York Times best-selling author and esteemed cosmologist their burning questions about dark matter, relativity and more.
In Space and Time with Dr. Lawrence Krauss will feature Eight’s “Nerd-in-Chief” Bob Beard as host and moderator. Together Krauss and Beard will help bridge the gap between hard physics and soft science, providing viewers with a personal and in-depth scientific exploration of the hot topics of the day. Each hangout session will feature a Q&A with Dr. Krauss, during which viewers can submit questions for Dr. Krauss live during the streamed discussion.
