Southwest Season Ticket is recorded "live" and features classical music concerts performed by internationally recognized artists and Arizona's finest classical musicians. Concerts are recorded at Scottsdale Center for the Arts, Phoenix Symphony Hall, Gammage Auditorium in Tempe, and dozens of other venues in Tucson, Sun City, Flagstaff, Sedona and elsewhere in Arizona.
Aritsts recorded by the Production Studio and featured on Southwest Season Ticket have included: pianists Garrick Ohlsson, Andre-Michel Schub, Menahem Pressler, Caio Pagano, and Emmanuel Ax; the Emmerson, Julliard, Takacs, and Petersen string quartets; violinists Gil Shaham, Chee Yun, Nadia Solerno-Sonnenberg, and Joshua Bell; cellist Anner Bylsma; and the London, Moscow, and Vienna Chamber Orchestras.
The Southwest Season Ticket series is funded in part by a grant from the Richard and Deborah Felder Foundation. We appreciate their continuing support for these concert performances, recorded throughout Arizona by the KBAQ Production Studio, and for their continued support of public radio in Phoenix.
