From the voter required implementation of English immersion classes to the growth of charter schools, community leaders tackle school issues facing our state.
Toby McLeod, the director and producer of the documentary film "In the Light of Reverence" will be joined by former Hopi Chairman Vernon Masayesva. McLeod and Masatesva will discuss the struggle to protect areas deemed sacred to Native Americans, but used by non-Indians for other purposes. "In the Light of Reverence" will air Tuesday, August 14, 2001 at 9 p.m. on Channel 8.
