"Wife and I saw the show and decided to try it out. We weren't very familiar with Cuban food, but our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had lots of questions and she was able to answer all of them. We tried most of the stuff featured in the show starting with the sampler plate. It was all fried, but the flavors were phenomenal. I'd never had plantain before. The sample plate featured two of the three ways they prepare the plantain. They were both great. For the main dish, I ordered the Cuban sandwich with the fried yuca wedges featured on the sampler plate. It was to die for. The pork was so moist and juicy and the Cuban bread was nice and toasted. My wife ordered the breaded chicken with the saffron rice and sweet plantains. She really liked the chicken and she said the rice was flavorful. She didn't like the sweet plantains, but I tried them and I loved them. They tasted a lot like a regular banana. My wife doesn't really like bananas, but she wanted to be adventurous. For dessert, we shared the rum cake. It was delicious. Overall, we would both definitely go again. We really enjoyed ourselves. Both the food and the service were great."

"We ordered much of the same food as was featured on the show. The sample platter was so bad that we didn't eat hardly any of it.Everything on it tasted the same. The beans and rice were tasteless. My husband had the steak and marinara with ham and cheese and the steak was so tough that the plate moved from side to side as he tried to cut through it. It must have been round steak and not at all tenderized. It was so bad that we started laughing. It was too bad to bother to complain. Because anyone that served food like that knows nothing about food and can't be helped. But the place was clean and pleasant and the people very warm and friendly. We won't be going back though. And I don't know how three people could all give it such a high rating. What a mystery."
