Warm Hazelnut Camembert

From the restaurant: Uncorked - The Unpretentious Wine Bar & Bistro

1 cup breadcrumbs
1 cup skinned hazelnuts
3 eggs, beaten
Four 7 oz. Camembert wheels
Baguette or focaccia
Sliced apples
Strawberry preserves


Oven to 450 degrees


In a food processor mix breadcrumbs and hazelnuts until fine. Dip each Camembert wheel in the egg mixture then roll them in the breadcrumb mixture.
Place Camembert wheels on a sheet pan and place in the oven.  Bake for 12 minutes or until the cheese is soft, without breaking open.


Place on a serving place with a toasted baguette or focaccia bread, sliced apples and strawberry preserves.
