Chef James Porter

Robert McGrathOwner of the French style bistro Petite Maison, James Porter, utilizes his passion of fresh ingredients to create some of the valley’s best dishes. Porter completed his training at Scottsdale Culinary Institute in 1992 and has been intriguing Phoenix with international cuisine ever since.

Porter received incredible reviews for his previous restaurant, Tapino Kitchen and Wine Bar, which closed in 2009. The restaurant was acclaimed for providing its guests with the perfect environment to share guest’s love for food and wine.

His love for a cultural dining experience is in effort to help Phoenix reach its full potential as a culinary retreat. He strongly believes in utilizing local farmers and distributors to help the community grow and experience the most fresh and natural ingredients. 

Porter has received silver and bronze medals in ACF Culinary Salon.
