The innovative chef, Dean Thomas, is owner of the Valley restaurant Cornish Pasty. In utilizing his ever-growing restaurant concept, he is able to really show Phoenix the full potential of British cuisine. Thomas exudes his passion and dedication to prove the potential of British food’s rich flavors and get rid of its “bland” stereotype.
Dean Thomas opened his first Cornish Pasty location in Tempe in 2005, and has been nurturing its growth ever since. Despite this growth, Thomas chooses to keep his restaurant from becoming a corporate chain. He holds the feeling that it is too difficult many times for people to maintain their true passion for food after going corporate. Demonstrating his belief, his passion for food absolutely shows in his dishes. Guests rave about the restaurants relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and unique British menu.
Thomas’ experience as a chef and business owner in England before returning to the United States provides for his expert knowledge in the British cuisine.
