Barbara Nelson is a fiction writer who completed her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Arizona State University in 1991. She is a teacher and long-time provider of literary projects, and has taught a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses in creative writing at Arizona State University, Phoenix College, and Scottsdale Community College. She has been the originator and presenter of a variety of literary workshops for over twenty years, and has developed a series of Directed Personal Writing workshops offered through the Writer’s Voice. She also holds a degree in social work and has counseled in family services.
