About Craig Johnson

Craig Johnson is a former law enforcer who lives on a ranch near Ucross, Wyoming with his wife Judy, dogs Ivan and Lucy, and their horses. Johnson is the author of the short story Old Indian Trick which was awarded the Tony Hillerman Short Story Award. Johnson’s first novel, The Cold Dish (Viking 2005), introduced readers to Walt Longmire. It was re-released in 2006 by Penguin as a Paperback edition. Death Without Company (Viking 2006) was a finalist for the Mountains and Plains Bookseller’s Association’s Fiction Book of the Year, and was selected as the Wyoming Historical Society’s Fiction Book of the Year.

Kindness Goes Unpunished (Viking 2007) it the third Walt Longmire mystery.
