Cat behaviorist Jackson Galaxy, a.k.a "Cat Daddy," star of Animal Planet's My Cat from Hell, has joined Kate Benjamin of the popular cat design website Hauspanther.com, to write a book “Catify To Satisfy: Simple Design Solutions for Creating a Cat-Friendly Home.” Galaxy and Benjamin will discuss their book.
Because of the continuous growth of social and digital media, the Federal Trade Commission has updated the guidelines section of their website to address matters concerning internet advertising and marketing. It’s the first update since 2010. John Norling, an attorney from Jennings, Strouss & Salmon, will tell us more about the updated guidelines.
Beyond The Mirage is an innovative web-based experience that aims to raise awareness and understanding about Arizona’s water supplies and demands. The project recently was selected as the winner of The New Arizona Prize: Water Consciousness Challenge and was awarded the $100,000 grand prize. Developed by a team from the University of Arizona College of Agriculture and Life Sciences along with Arizona Public Media and marketing professionals, Beyond the Mirage will use the award to help launch web and social media strategies to allow Arizonans to create and share their own mini-documentaries. The project will also will also use the hundreds of water-related clips developed for the website to create a feature-length documentary. Thom Reilly, director of Arizona State University’s Morrison Institute for Public Policy, and Steve Seleznow, president and CEO of the Arizona Community Foundation, will discuss Beyond the Mirage.
The Arizona Department of Health Services is launching AZ Hospital Compare, an online searchable database to help consumers make educated decisions about their healthcare. The new website will allow patients and their families to explore the care, costs and charges of Arizona’s licensed hospitals. Donna Courtney of the department of health services will talk about the system.
