Colorado River Basin Study | Video
- We’ll take a look at what a new report new says about the Colorado River’s ability to meet Arizona’s growing need for water with Sandra A. Fabritz-Whitney, the Director of Arizona’s Department of Water Resources. The Colorado River Basin Water Supply and Demand Study is being released this week at the Colorado River Water Users Association Annual Conference in Las Vegas.

U.S.-Mexico Colorado River Water Agreement | Video
- The United States and Mexico have a new agreement on Colorado River water. The new deal will allow the U.S. to get a one-time increased allotment from the river in exchange for $10 million and helping Mexico to repair canals damaged in a 2010 earthquake. It also lets Mexico store water in Lake Mead, which will boost water levels by 15 feet and could lead to more tourism at the lake.

South Mountain Freeway/Gila River Indian Community | Video
- Gila River Indian Community members voted down a plan to put the South Mountain (Loop 202) freeway expansion on the reservation. Now, a group of Gila River residents are collecting signatures to try to force another vote. Joseph Perez and Nathaniel Percharo explain why the want a new election.

Sustainability: SRP Sustainable Energy | Video
- On May 23rd, Salt River Project’s Board of Directors is scheduled to vote on a plan to increase the amount of renewable energy it produces and reduce its energy load through energy efficiencies. Discussing the plan are Salt River Project officials Debbie Kimberly and John Coggins; Jeff Schlegel of the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project; and Amanda Ormond, a clean energy consultant who is also an SRP customer.

- Water conservation and Colorado River water revitalizing the Arizona department of water resources were topics Governor Napolitano spoke about in her state of the state address. Herb Guenther, Director, State Department of Water Resources, spoke to "Horizon" on the issue.

Drought Outlook
- The storms have caused runoff from the Salt River Project's water shed to prompt the release of water down the normally dry Salt River. It's now flowing through Tempe Town Lake. We'll have an update on our reservoir system.
