    • Arizona sculptor John Henry Waddell is known around the world for his life-size, realistic bronze statues of human figures in poignant poses. Earlier this month, eight of Waddells statues were stolen from his property in Cornville, south of Sedona. Tragically, thieves might have taken the artwork for the metal. Bronze is 90 percent copper which is valued for its record-high prices. Well speak with Waddell about the incident that likely reduced his artistic creations to raw material.

  • Consumer fraud lawsuit filed against Wal-
    • The Arizona attorney general filed a consumer fraud lawsuit against two major retailers: Wal-Mart and AutoZone. They are charged with intentionally defrauding customers by posting inaccurate product prices, or not posting prices at all. The state's consumer fraud act carries stiff penalties, $10 thousand per violation. Hundreds of violations were found by the State Department of Weights And Measures. The companies could face millions in fines.

And because of soaring gas prices, Governor Napolitano wants the EPA to give Arizona a waiver on the use of summertime fuel.
