    • ProMusica Arizona, which brings live music to those in the North Phoenix Area, will present "The Unpredictable Adventures of Henry Hicklebee." It’s a one-man show that features chorale and orchestra accompaniment as local actor Matt Newhard portrays a young man embarking on a worldwide journey to find his family's roots. The audience participates by texting to select the path of his journey, and the music will be adjusted to depict the country chosen. Adam Stich, who wrote the show, and actor Matt Newhard will tell us more about "The Unpredictable Adventures of Henry Hicklebee."

  • Arizona ArtBeat: Southwest Vocal Competition  |   Video
    • The first-ever Southwest Vocal Competition is being held at the Mayo Clinic’s Shea Campus in Scottsdale. It’s an effort to find singers with the best voices, who will be awarded a chance to perform with the Phoenix Opera Orchestra at the Orpheum Theater in Phoenix February 8. Besides the competition aspect, it’s also an education effort on the part of Mayo Clinic’s Voice Department to talk about voice health. Gail Massaro, the co-founder and creative director of the Phoenix Opera, will talk about the competition, along with Dr. David Lott from the Mayo Voice Department.
