 Video - The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair will be held May 12-17 at the Phoenix Convention Center, with aspiring scientists from all over the world competing. Renee Levin, Intel’s community engagement manager, will talk about the fair. Sarah Sakha, a student from Xavier High School, will talk about her winning project, which seeks to develop emergency food products used in famine relief.

February 20, 2007- school Vouchers
- A group of education and political organizations filed a lawsuit Tuesday to stop state scholarships, which pay for some children to attend private or religious schools. We hear both sides of the school voucher issue from John Wright, President of the Arizona Education Association which supports the lawsuit filed against school vouchers. Also joining us is Tim Keller, Executive Director of the Institute for Justice, which plans to intervene in the suit on behalf of parents and children to defent the voucher programs.
- Iraqi Refugees
- There is hope for hundreds of Iraq war refugees here in Arizona. The United Nations is screening and registering refugees this month. Joining HORIZON is Jamal Al-Fakhouri, Regional Director from the Tucson area of the International Rescue Committee, which works with placing refugees in our state.

September 19, 2006- IFESH 25th Anniversary
- The International Foundation for Education and Self-Help (IFESH), based in Scottsdale, was founded twenty-five years ago by the Reverend Leon H. Sullivan, a visionary leader and Baptist minister. The organization helps Africans reduce hunger and poverty, empower local communities, raise the standard of literacy and foster cultural, social and economic relations between Americans and Africans. IFESH is gearing up for a 25th anniversary celebration on September 25 with speakers and a workshop on Corporate Social Responsibility: Advancing Education in Africa through Public & Private Partnerships. Dr. Julie Sullivan, President and CEO of IFESH, joins HORIZON.

- Pluto is no longer a planet. It has been demoted to "dwarf planet" status. The International Astronomical Union stripped Pluto of planetary status it's held since being discovered at an Arizona observatory in 1930. Dr. Phil Christensen, Regents Professor in the Department of Geological Science at Arizona State University, joins us to talk about the change.

- HORIZON introduces one of the most prominent professors on the Arizona State University campus, Assistant Law Professor Orde Kittrie. A former U.S. Department of State Director of International Anti-Crime Programs, Orde Kittrie has worked on U.S.-Mexico border issues, the reform of Jordanian business law, and negotiated five nuclear nonproliferation agreements between the U.S. and Russia, among many other initiatives. His efforts are now being recognized across the country, including being named one of the top international legal experts in the U.S.
