- Buzz
Buzz is more than just a TV show. It comprises television, an interactive Web site (www.azpbs.org/buzz) and uniquely Arizona educational materials that help teachers meet new Arizona arts standards. Discussions for the concept showcasing Arizonas emerging arts scene began more than a year ago, eventually involving more than 20 community organizations.
The pilot episode features work by three Valley artists Phoenix Symphony violist and director of Downtown Chamber Series Mark Dix who brings chamber music to new audiences at downtown art galleries; fashion and ASU Dance Department costume designer Galina Mihaleva designs for dancers, models, rock stars and nanotechnologists; and urban designer and Dean of the ASU College of Design Wellington Reiter who envisions a Phoenix Sky Harbor airport where planes, condos and pools might one day co-exist. The pilot also lets viewers know where they can see and hear the work of the featured artists as well as other artists in the same fields.

August 2, 2006July 25, 2006- ELL Issue in 9th Circuit
- Judges at the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will hear arguments on both sides of the case regarding Arizona English language learners requirement to pass the AIMS test. In April, appellate judges agreed to continue to block enforcement of a trial judges order that the state cannot deny diplomas to students classified as English language learners just because they failed to pass the standardized test. Reporter Howard Fischer joins us from San Francisco with an update.
October 4, 2005- Domestic Violence Chairs
- Eleven chairs have been created by ASU Interior Design Students in an effort to bring awareness to domestic violence and kick off Domestic Violence Awareness month. The chairs make statements about domestic violence and will be auctioned at a dinner event benefiting the Phoenix Family Advocacy Center. PFAC Director Ginger Spencer joins the discussion.

- A new Intel Plant will be located in Chandler. The $3 Billion plant is expected to provide 1,000 new high paying jobs. Brian Matas of IC Insights, an integrated circuit market research company, will be on Horizon to talk about the new plant and the high tech industry in Arizona.
