- The New Directions Institute for Infant Brain Development is a nonprofit organization that teaches parents how best to stimulate learning in their children. This organization’s program at St. Joseph’s Hospital shows parents the value of security and attention. ASU professor Dr. Jill Stamm, author of Bright from the Start, co-founded the program.
