The week of May 1 through 7 is National Charter School Week. Weâ€™ll hear from Leah Fregulia of the Arizona School for the Arts, a Phoenix Charter School, and Jim Hall, founder of Arizonans for Charter School Accountability.
A report will be released November 9 that grades the states on laws and practices that are meant to deter corruption and promote accountability and transparency. Evan Wyloge, senior reporter at the Arizona Center for Investigative Reporting, worked on the report for the Center for Public Integrity and Global Integrity and will discuss it.
The Arizona Board of Education has adopted principles of agreement that will guide the development of the next generation of A through F school accountability profiles. The goal of the new profiles will be to provide parents and other education stakeholders with an apples-to-apples education achievement measurement tool.
