    • Nearly half of Arizona’s households are just one financial disaster away from falling into extreme poverty. For people of color, it’s nearly 70 percent. The latest Arizona Town Hall deals with what to do about the state’s vulnerable population, people who are on the brink of financial disaster, yet are not currently poor enough to be covered by our safety net. Two Town Hall participants, attorney J. Scott Rhodes and Catherine Chiang of Arizona Public Service Company, will discuss the report.

Participants in the 91st Arizona Town Hall met at the Grand Canyon in late October to recommend ways to plan for that growth while protecting our states views and values.     • Throughout the month of November, HORIZON will look at key issues affecting Arizona's Native Americans tribes. Tonight, we hear from leaders in Washington, D.C. about tribal sovereignty.

    • Recently, acclaimed Author Luis Alberto Urrea was in the Valley to talk about his book The Devils Highway: A True Story, which explores the fate of twenty six Mexican men who attempted to cross the border into southern Arizona through a stretch of desert known as The Devil's Highway. We'll talk to the author on Horizon.
  • Arizona Town Hall
    • Every two years, more than 100 of Arizonas most influential Arizona leaders gather to hammer out solutions to the state's problems. The latest Town Hall dealt with growth and how the state will handle it. HORIZON examines the solutions leaders discussed.
