Focus on Sustainability: Arizona’s First Net Zero School | Video
- Colonel Smith Middle School, on Fort Huachuca in southern Arizona near Sierra Vista, is the State’s first Net Zero Energy school, and only the 12th Net Zero Energy building in the nation. Learn more about the sustainable design of this school from Ronda Frueauff, Superintendent of Fort Huachuca Schools and Tony Wall of 3-W Management, the company that managed the school’s construction.

Fort McDowell Sovereignty Day
- It's been 15 years since a standoff between state and federal agents and residents of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Reservation over Indian gaming. Since then, Indian gaming has flourished in Arizona. We talk to President Raphael Bear about the historic event.

Orde Kittrie
- HORIZON introduces one of the most prominent professors on the Arizona State University campus, Assistant Law Professor Orde Kittrie. A former U.S. Department of State Director of International Anti-Crime Programs, Orde Kittrie has worked on U.S.-Mexico border issues, the reform of Jordanian business law, and negotiated five nuclear nonproliferation agreements between the U.S. and Russia, among many other initiatives. His efforts are now being recognized across the country, including being named one of the top international legal experts in the U.S.

- A Native American Town Hall was held this week in the Valley. Among the issues being discussed, the retention of Indian culture. Debra Utacia Krol, a reporter for the Fort McDowell newspaper, will tell us about the town hall.
