Congress approved legislation to add 4 million children to a popular health-care-coverage program—S-CHIP (State Children's Health Insurance Program) also known as KidsCare in Arizona—but the bill was vetoed by President Bush. Some say the expansion pushes the program beyond its original intent. Supporters of the expansion say it is needed to cover uninsured children of poor working families. Congress is poised to vote on a possible override of the Bush veto. We discuss both sides of the issue.
